As a new TELCO, one of our priorities was to develop and deploy an evolving community forum for our customers to participate in.

As a part of this, we have launched:-

• our on-line official forums, integrated into BEST GN at www.bestgn.net.au/forums; and
• BEST Gaming Network at www.bestgn.net.au

To be able to even considered to be the BEST Gaming Network, we will operate:

• a state-of-the-art fault tolerant multiple front-end server platform;
• connected to dual redundant gigabit Ethernet network; and
• a fibre Storage Area Network.

Databases served in the BEST Gaming Network will constantly mirror content between the multiple front-end servers, ensuring real-time application health.

Our servers are located at a new collocation facility at Ultimo in Sydney.

Development of the BEST Gaming Network is complete, although is now undergoing constant improvement.  Our team includes:

• BEST GN system operator, Matt
• BEST GN content managers, Moe and Timmy J
• BEST GN developer, miccas
• Azalin (Clint) for Content and Game Administration
• BEST GN graphic designer, Tim of www.OceanicEagles.com fame

Our prime focus is about on-network gaming, although there will be access via PIPE networks to other carriers.

Initial content/games hosting will include the following items that have already been requested from our green-field customers:-

• IRC
• Voice Chat Facility in game, using Team Speak II Voice Chat Server
• Call of Duty 4
• Counter-Strike Source
• Team Fortress 2

We will be adding Americas Army: Special Forces and crysis shortly after our official launch.
